4 of us here. All family, which means 4 bosses. Seems sometimes we argue more than we work, but manage to turn out beautiful work very efficiently. Now, if I can only figure out how to make money at it....

Jeremy that's funny, years ago I worked for a family owned company.
They too had all bosses, boy the arguments I got to hear. But when it
was crunch time to get a job out, they pulled it together & got the job
done. As far as making money in this biz, it's tough. Especially when
your bidding against smaller shops who don't have the same overhead &
expences as the larger shops. You just have to find your nitch in the
market & stick with it. Two things you got to remember: 1) You got to
have fun. (2) Profit is not a dirty word. Just my two cents.

I hear ya Mike. I grew up in this business and will pit my carpentry/cabinetry skills against anyone, but that is an entirely different ballgame from the money end of it. Profit has always seemed to be a \"dirty word\" to me, and that's something I am most definitely trying to get away from (the dirty word part, not the profit part. hehe)
Having this forum (and others like woodweb) to be able to talk to others and learn, in my opinion are not only good for the woodworking business, but necessary these days.
Thanks for the poll, you've asked a question that I have been curious about as well.
