In custom layout i can't get the angle or rotate etc.. to work. If i hit the presention key it will work but very choppy. Then i go back into custom layout and it might work or not. very strange. Its worked in the past.
Some facts.
- 6 Month old Dell inspiron 9400, 1gig ram, with dual core and 256meg ATI, 60 gig HD with 8 gig free space.
- i've taken traing course
- this file was drawn 2 months ago
- ecab is updated
- in cab editor, the angle , zoom, etc seems to work but still choppy.
- Background running programs all off.
Sould i uninstall program and reinstall?
I'am at a loss please help.
Oh and thank you very much for any help. Ted.

1- Choppy means, that \"if\" the program responds to the mouses comands it does so inrelieably and incompletly. it does not respond to the mouse or the keyboard or if i move the silder bars.
2- the job only walls right now. so its 14kb not big.
3- not really in the cabinet designer the angle / rotate feature works. but with some \"unresponsiveness\"
4-i did close down all other prgrams but it had no effect.
5- I am unaware of what \"virtual memory\" is and how to change the settings. I do have a dedicted 256meg graphics card. I also serached it but could not get the video on ecabworld to load or play.
6- I also don't know how to slow down the hardware acceleration. If you could clarify that, that would be great.
Thanks again for you time and answers. ted

This sounds like a virtual memory issue to me. I have an article on eCabWorld describing how to setup virtual memory for best performance. You can find it in the \"Tips and Tricks\" section of the \"Member's Lounge.\"
To change your hardware acceleration level right-click on an open area of the desktop and choose \"Properties.\"
Then select the \"Settings\" tab and click the \"Advanced\" button. Now click the \"Troubleshoot\" tab and you will see a slider for Hardware Acceleration.
Move the slide to \"None\" and see if that helps. If it does, experiment with moving it gradually toward \"Full\" and testing after each move. Once you get to a point where the render is bad again, back down one notch.

First of , thank you , you guys are great.
I made all of the changes you said but the problem still exists. BUT i found , by chance , if i \"save\" the file it seems to restore the function of angle/rotate feature. I don't understand why but it works. really thanks again for the assitance. if the problem becomes consist and the fix is saveing it. i will post again. thanks ted
