I don't think you will get what you want with the edgebanding features. You must bring it in as a display board and manually place it. Then associate it to the cabinet to be part of the design. Make your sure to add these after all other items are sized etc because they do not resize automatically with the rest of the cabinet.
Hey Guys,
Could you not take a face frame wall cabinet, delete everything but the deck and the bottom rail, adjust to your needs and then take the bottom rail to the part editor? It would then at least be easy to resize. I do realize you would lose edge detail when you resize, but that would be better than starting from scratch everytime.
Well I hadn't tried to add solid stock to a shelf yet, but I did assume that simply setting it up in the edgebanding would be the easiest...
I know we still have some issues with the edgebanding particularly out at the controller...so I have stayed away from using it. However it's relatively easy to set up a \"solid stock\" size up and adding it to shelving.
It was interesting to find out in the part's editor that if you cut into the \"edgebanding/solid stock\" it dissappeared and the shelf itself has the decorative edge. (it didn't matter how deep the solid stock was)
So - if you're simply adding solid stock, it's easy through edgebanding - however if you want a decorative edge a display board will serve you better.
