Even if you ordered them all generic?

We could put our own fancy stickers on for our name and logos on the back page like all of the suppliers we use. It personally would take me ten years to use 250 copies.

I like the idea but I think the minimum should be less so the smaller shops with smaller advertising budgets could get some also.

Sad to say 1,000's aren't in the budget but should be

Just thinking out loud here.

Dan you should be applauded for going out of the way helping in an area a lot of us struggle in, marketing.

Unfortunately the printer sets the minimum, not me, and they won't do runs less than 250 copies.

If enough people commit to the generic version I can do less than 250 per person, but the total number of copies still has to be at leat 2500.

I like the idea of using your own label to personalize the books. If everyone used the same size labels I could make a spot in the cover for them.

That's what I'm saying Dan, The generic one could be for the smaller shops looking to get into marketing. I think the sticker should maybe go on the back side though , Smaller on the bottom maybe an oval or something like all the other vendors at trade shows.

Kind of gives validity to the E-Cainets process By placing the system above us in some small way. Because it does take the many to make the whole.

Maybe also a short page on a thermwood router cutting so people can see what we are talking about, The system at work?

I am still in for 100 copies if the generic one is available, It looks great let the smaller guys know and I'm sure they will come.

I had thought about including a section on CNC but decided against it because there are so many members that don't use one, either themselves or via production sharing.

So far it looks like not enough members are interested in this to actually go forward.

By my count there are only 650 copies committed in this thread, far short of the required 2500 to get the price down to $3.00 per copy.

Time is running down on the quote from the printer--only 10 days left to send the order in. February 9 is the deadline to get the order to the printer.

This is an opportunity to have the same (or better) quality marketing materials that everyone complains about the ready-mades having without having to pay a fortune for them.

Remember, I must have committments for 2500 copies by February 9 or it is a no-go.

Dan, I am with Brian, my budget will only allow a limited number. I could commit to 100 and would be in favor of a generic type book. I know your looking for more and I can appreciate that and am grateful for your effort. We have only been in buisness for a little over a year and are still struggling. I hope this gets off the ground one way or another.

Thanks

I would be in for atleast 100 copies. I can send over some nice photos of some recent kitchen, china cabinet, entertainment center, and built-ins.
What is the deadline for submitting pics?

Dave

Sorry, but this deal died due to lack of participation.

February 9 was the printer's deadline to have everything ready for printing.

In order to get the prices offered by the printer, I had to have committed orders for a minimum of 2500 copies. This is why I set the minimum at 250 copies per member. I thought at least 10 members would be willing to spend $750 for marketing materials to help improve their business but I guess I was wrong.

Even if enough members were to commit now, I don't know whether I could get the printer to give me the same discounts as before so the prices probably would not be the same.
