Puzzle Joints on 5pc panel doors

Is it possible to use puzzle joints between the rails and stiles on 5 pc panel doors where the rails and styles are cut from board stock?

No, the puzzle joint is only for sheet stock face frame components.

You could define solid wood as a sheet stock to create the frame, but how would you do the dado for the panel?

From the member magazine:
The new eCabinet Systems interface to make face frames also includes the ability to use standard joints ( full dado, blind dado or KD/RTA ) to attach the face frame to the cabinet. You can specify joinery for the entire face frame, however, since rails are machined in the nest face up and stiles face down, it is best to place joinery on the stiles only and use a butt joint on the rails. This eliminates flip ops.

Go back to step 1: the puzzle joint can ONLY be used on face frames. The dado/blind dado, etc are for connecting the face frame to the cabinet. You only have three choices for the rail-to-stile joinery: butt (on board or sheet), mortise & tenon (board only) and puzzle (sheet only).

You can create a face frame using puzzle joints then manually profile and dado it in the part editor. Then you can manually create the panel in the part editor. You should be able to delete everything but the face frame and back, make the panel from the back and heve the \"door\" resizable.

Maybe not...the edited back panel might not resize, you will just have to experiment with it to see.
