I am working with an architect now, and he mentioned it would be great if I would send him the dxf file so he can build the house around the kitchen.
He uses chief architect pro
I searched the forum for dxf and seemed to find out how to IMPORT but I don't know how to export,
do I zip, or can I save as _____dxf
I have never tried anything like this.

The .dxf utility only works for 2d profiles within the Shape manager and Part editor. In the Shape manager we can import tooling profiles to be used to make cuts in the part editor. In the part editor we can load or save .dxf for panel geometry. But, we cannot export the 3d model of a kitchen layout to be used in another program.
