Cabinet Resizing Problems

Post by Roger Kirkpatrick »

Since I upgraded to 5.1 I have been having trouble with resizing cabinets.
If I widen a cabinet things work fine. If I make a cabinet narrower the shelves stick out the side of the cabinet. It does this for both fixed and adjustable shelves and both base and wall cabinets.
What is going on?
Is this a ver 5.1 bug?
Do I have to re-make my library?

Roger Kirkpatrick,

Let's hope not to rebuild.

I can't reproduce this. Do you click the space around the cabinet (space) to see if it rebuilds the cabinet?

What's your Comp specs and OS
Intel Core i7-5820K (6-Cores, 3.3GHz, 15MB Cache)
32Gigs DDR4
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 4GB
SSD 840 256Gig, 2TB, 3TB, Samsung (2TB)
Corsair RM650

Do you have any stretchers in your cabs?

Michael
Not sure where you are talking about
\"Do you click the space around the cabinet (space) to see if it rebuilds the cabinet? \"
But yes in the room and cabinet editor and it doesn't correct the shelves.
The computer is about 2 yrs old, been working fine till this.
1.8Ghz, 512MB memory, ATI video card, not sure of the RAM on it.
No stretchers on the cabinet just shelves.

Roger,

After reading my own post I can't figure out what I was asking. I can't blame that one on the coffee...

I guess I was trying to be sure the cabinet did rebuild. Just for curiosity sake try saving one of those out of wack cabinets and see what happens. I'm wondering if there is some kind of short circut in there somewhere.

None of my computers have that problem, I would like to suggest downloading the file again and reinstalling the build. Maybe there is a registry error.

Roger

Could you post your cabinet or email it to cabinets@thermwood.com? I would like to take a look at it. Thank You

Cabinet resizing problem

Post by Rick Bates »

I have the same problem but only with adjustable shelveand it happens when I increase on decrease the width of cabinets. Noticing that others didn't have this problem, I played around with the settings of a cabinet that had the issue. By assigning a material under the global setting tab and saving the cabinet before placing it, the problem disappeared.

I guess my cabinet database got corrupted in the 5.0 to 5.1 update. I sometimes expect my PC to do too much

Cab resize issue

Actually, just right clicking on the cabinet in \"detail room\" mode and changing materials to anything clears the problem. Even choosing the current material works.
