Post by Raymond Lyon »

is there any way to make the center stile be as tall as the rt and lft stile.
so if I have a 30 in tall rt,lft stile

How can i have a 30 in center stile and then have 4 rails instead of two rails and three stiles.

Raymond,
First, Apply your face frame
Next, you need to add a mid-stile
Then, delete the top and bottom rails.
(This will make all three stiles the same length)
(Doing this will also reset the length of the rails to be flush with the top of the TOP and flush with the BOTTOM of the deck. In other words the deck float will be deleted, since there isn't a deck rail.)
After that, add a mid rail.
Next, highlight the area above the mid rail you just added and change the opening height to zero. This should give you the result your looking for.
NOTE: The faceframe construction settings will need to be manipulated to get the bottom rail and stiles back to normal.

I use tricks just like this to develope my cabinetry. Each of these cabinets are resizable and from one cabinet.

The top valance is stretchable to about 48\" from 30\" and the bottom cabinet is a bar back with a wire chase made with all except the deck of a cabinet. The front top is a 15\" top rail that resizes with the cabinet along with the doors.

This is an awsome ability with the software.
