Did you have your coffee today? I can't see anything wrong with the Define Door dialog except that it does not have a selection for left or right handed. It works the way it always has. You can select any of the materials in the Materials directory from wall paper to window images.
Are you thinking of the doors that are setup as Display Objects that you load from the Place Items dialog? I do have a few of those, but I believe they were downloaded from the forum.
