BIG installation problem

Post by Nick M Singer »

Hi eCabs guys. I am trying to help my colleague install eCabs V5 onto his PC (he had V4 running fine) The whole installation proceeds normally and goes on to ask for the code and then register. After that the introductory flash screen comes up and that is where it hangs. We have tried using different discs, using the reset utility, different codes supplied by yourselves to no avail Please help production is falling behind!!!!

i had the same problem
try to update the eCabs v5 to build 2 before you try to run the program

it says on the website that if eCabs is more than 9 months old (with no update) it will not run!!!

i hope this solves ur problem

Nick,

I had the same problem with loading on a new computer this morning. It hung up when asking for updates so I went onto this site and ran the update 5.1.2. The program opened no problem then.

Hi Forrest.
I too upgraded his version to 5.1b2 but exactly the same thing happens. I then ran the reset utility and tried registering again. It looks like it is registering OK and then tries to launch but hangs at the opening screen. In the task manager under \"processes: it is using 50% of cpu time but does not list under the active apps.
