problem with pockets

Post by Nemanja Vujkovic »

I came up with conclusion that if you try to change thicknes of material in eCabs, and there it a pocket done in Part Editor, the CNC still cuts the pocket at original thicknes, but it goes from the top of the new thicknes.
This means that if the material is .5 inches thick, and you change it to .25 inches, the CNC will cut .25 inches into the CNC table.

Can You confirm this, or am i just drunk from the weekend. :D

Nemanja,

This is certainly true for thru cut type pockets, but not pockets that do not go through material. I have submitted this issue to our Software Engineering dept. for review and fix. Thanks for bringing this to our attention. I appologize for any inconveniences this issue may have caused you.

As an update for this situation: I've been informed that this is an issue that will need to be address in the eCabinets software. It has been placed on the issue list and will be addressed in the next patch or version release of eCab.

Again, thanks for bringing this to our attention!
