How to Replicate Cabinet Editor Changes to an Existing Layou

Post by Jeff Whippo »

Was wondering if there's anyway to replicate changes made in the cabinet editor to cabinets of the same kind in an existing layout. For example:
Let's say that I've designed a specific base cabinet and placed 20 instances of it in a layout. Then, I decide that I need to update the labor hours associated with building that particular cabinet - or maybe I want to change some other aspect of the cabinet that isn't covered in the layout's popup menu for the cabinets. So I go to the cabinet editor, load that cabinet, make the changes, and then go back to the layout. How can I get the existing 20 cabinets to use the new modifications without explicitly deleting and reinstalling the cabinets in the layout?

Thanks
Jeff

One suggestion:

Instead of a layout, I wonder if you really want to use is the Batch Cabinets features. This way, whenever anything changes, you have a choice of updating all or only some.
