I'd like to know how the CNC actually cuts in relation to how I'm deriving my curved parts.
For example, if I take a 21\" square cabinet top into the part editor, then shape it to 20.29\" square with an arc front edge... Does the program nest a 21\" square, and then cut the shape, or is nesting executed so as to completely maximize yield?
Hi Kyle,
The machine only cuts your finished shape, and yes it will nest inside that space if possible, depending on what other shapes you might have available to fit that space.
that's exactly what I wanted know for one regard, for another, I now understand that modifying the nest is unsupported in this version. The reason I would like to have this capability, is so that I could group all applicable panels onto carefully selected and mapped sheets, MODIFY the nest diagram and achieve \"book-matched\" panels centered on individual veneer flitches. Maybee next version???
There was talk in the past about making the nest area \"Drag and Drop\" so that you could re-arrange parts. I don't know what his happening with this idea.
