Constraint Manager

Post by Nemanja Vujkovic »

I just have a quick question.
Would it be helpfull if CM was not limited to only edited parts in PE?
I know that this would help me a lot.

Todd,

I am trying to keep the darwer front the same while the i shrink the seed cabinet. If the cabinet is 34.5 inches high and the drawer front is 6, when i shrink it to 32.5, the drawer front shrinks too. Well, i need the drawer front to stay the same, because all cabinets that we make here at AMSL have 6 inch drawer fronts!

Nemanja,
If you goto the feedback area under the communication within ecabs, you can submit a request for a change. This is the best place to submit a request.

If you take a slab drawerfront into the PE, you can make a perimeter cut, and then contrain the height off of that perimeter cut. The only problem with this is, you cannot constrain the edge banding. And you cannot get rid of the edgebanding, so the EB will grow or shrink with the cabinet hieght.

I have on a number of times wished I could use restraint manager on unedited parts. I have added door panels and wanted them to grow and shrink with a cabinet, also other panels and parts that I wanted to react with modifications to cabinet sizes.
