A wise sage advised to select and stick with one drawer/slide manufacturer for good reasons including learning one or two rather than dozens, minimum installation alignment tools, tooling, etc. With that in mind I've selected Blum as a preferred manufacturer and the Tandem Plus Blumotion model. I'm fairly new at this so it took me a while to read and understand the supplied literature in order to select the appropriate runner (length), determine the drawer box size, and extrapolate the right eCabinet drawer box parameters all from the drawer opening dimensions.

I determined I would be doing this more than once given many different drawer openings and cabinet depth. To minimize that effort and minimize errors I developed the attached spreadsheet.

Just enter the cabinet depth, opening width, opening height, drawer sides thickness, and minimum height inset (eCabinet param) and it will provide the drawer box dimensions, appropriate Blum model, and eCabinet Drawer Box parameters.

This tool is based on my 'assumptions' regarding selecting the right runner and calculating drawer box dimensions and eCabinet parameters so if it doesn't work as expected then let me know the right methodology and I'll make the appropriate changes.

The spreadsheet is protected without a password so it only lets you change the 5 parameters and not inadvertantly change/delete formulas. Feel free to unprotect it and edit away. It does have some provisions to switch between English and Metric units but only the English units is working at this time.
