Has anyone ever figured out how to add a shelf / deck / top to a cabinet where the shelf slants from front to back? The only way I could do it is with display parts, but these don't allow me to resize them with the cabinet. I have a design due Friday that requires 44 cabinets, in 16 different widths and 7 shelves each.
I've got an idea Jeff, but I haven't tried it yet. Make your sides deeper, then cut them at the desired angle so that the front and back edge are parallel. Use a display part for a back, then rotate it in the room so that the back is parallel to the wall.
I just played a little with what Nick suggested, and lo-and-behold you can rotate stretchers! I didn't know that before now! So I think your best bet would be to make your cabinet and substitute stretchers for your shelves, and rotate them into the correct position. This way they will resize with the cabinet. Where you will run into problems is if you have to add any part editor features to your shelves... since stretchers aren't supported in part editor.
pssst... Thermwood guys... can we get just about everything editable in the part editor? Drawer boxes and stretchers are tops on my list...
