Moving Job files between Computers

Post by Scott A Briggs »

I am trying to work in ecabinets on my laptop at home, and then save the job onto a flash drive (or CD or E-mail it) to move it to the computer at work that is on the network that has our CNC machine on it. The problem being that the files I save on my laptop will not open in the shop computer, they start to open, but then just revert to a blank screen. We are running the same versions of ecabinets.

What OS are you running on each machine? Is one 32-bit and one 64-bit?

The work computer runs XP 32 bit, and my laptop is Vista home premium 32 bit.....

Scott,

HOW are you trying to open the files? With the exception of *.esj files (which open when you double-click on the files), ALL others MUST be opened from within the eCabinet Systems program itself.

You might want to read this recent thread, which addresses the same issue.
