DXF causes e-cabs to crash

When loaded in the part editor and using the command\"make part from closed contour\" e-cabs crashes

can someone take a look...

What are you trying to make this from, a cabinet or a display cube? What build are you running?

It crashes in build 3 but not build 4 so you should up date to 4.

I just tried it using version 5.1 build 4 and it worked fine.

Bring oversized board into the part editor, right click and choose \"Create Part Using Closed Contour\". Then select the contour, and choose Next.

By the way, the upper line within your DXF file was a hidden line (dashed). Don't know if that was the issue with Build 3 or not though.

I found out why I was unable to make it work properly: The board I was taking to the Part Editor was too small for the closed contour

I REALLY must work harder at getting this right, so that I can pass the quiz...

QUESTION: Do all parts cut with a \"spline\" have the multiple straight edges, such as the long edges I got with Nemanja's *.dxf closed contour? If it IS, can the number of edges be changed, to make a smoother curve?

Al,

Although, the image doesn't improve much for display parts. You can try viewing that with the \"Enhanced View\" button selected. You can increase the detail under settings and preferences with the slider bar for cabinet editor.

I always run in the Cabinet Editor with the maximum setting for Level of Detail Settings. That is why I was puzzled to see the four "straight" lines defining the sides / parallel edges of the piece created with the closed contour.
