Circles in Cab Display?

Post by Glenn Warner »

Can anyone tell me what's up with this cabinet? Appears to have circles around each node.

Thanks,

Glenn

What type of graphics card do you have? It appears to be some sort of artifacts, possibly due to memory issues. When my old system started to show funny-looking stuff like this, it was telling me it was time to reboot. BUT that was a long time ago.

Type of computer, total RAM, HDD size? Did this go away after rebooting? Does it happen only with this cabinet?

Thanks AL,

I rebooted and it went away. Its an ATI Radeon 9600 128mb card. I was doing some experimentation (spinning and zooming the display) just before the circles appeared, so something must have got cranky.

Glenn,

Did you have programs other than eCabs open at the time this happened? How much total RAM does your PC have? It is suggested that you have 2GB RAM, although 1GB is sufficient. But, the more RAM, the better to run eCabs.

Just wondering, as eCabs demands as much memory as you can possibly give it. In other words, try to run only eCabs, finish, and then proceed to open other programs as needed, rather than running other programs when using eCabs.

I had that happen once after I emptoed the workspace. All that was left was the insertion target surrounded by dozens of circles. Zoomed-in it looked like an atom

I posted an image of it but don't remember what the subject of the post was.

Edit to add: This is also a test of an image inserted in-line within the post. It works with images hosted elsewhere as well.
