Has anyone had any success making shaker style doors or flat panel doors in the MDF section of the door editor. I have a customer that is interested in using a MDF flat panel door with a painted finish. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
Joe

One piece Shaker style doors can be made but we had an issue with finish quality and potential warp. Once you remove so much of the finish face of the MDF you unbalance the board and get into coarser layers which require more filling. The only problem we have with our 2 piece method is what to do with all the cut outs.

Save them for smaller doors or drawerfronts.Nick M Singer wrote:One piece Shaker style doors can be made but we had an issue with finish quality and potential warp.
