Associating multiple items to a wall at once

While working in the Custom Layout: I conducted a forum search and also sarched the Training Guide, and found nothing that indicates that I can associate more than one item to a wall at the same time.

Is there a switch or something I can turn on to accomplish this? Thanks for your help.

That is what I suspected when I was unable to do it. I needed confirmation that I was not missing or misunderstanding anything.

It would be nice to be able to associate any/everything that's selected.

However, the best way I've found to associate 'on the fly' is to add my objects while in the elevation view of the wall I want them associated to. You don't have to actually select/choose associate. So if I know in advance what wall I'm adding which objects to, I enter the elevation view of that wall, then add all the objects I want associated to that wall, then back out to the overhead view after I've placed them.

I agree Al, I asked for a multiple association feature months ago and also that items don't randomly dissociate themselves, Very Irritating!

On the forum, it was in one of my lists some time ago refering to time wasting procedures in eCabs. I also find the search engine not very good!

I think the search engine is actually quite good. But what might happen is that either I do not enter proper search terms or, if searching for a short phrase or multiple words, I forget to select the radio button \"Search for all terms\".

Maybe a repository of requests such as yours would be helpful, to create a to-do checklist? I am certain the programmers have many such lists, and it is a matter of priority to implement various things as they come up.

Hi Al. I have tried to make a list of suggestions concentrating on funcionality rather than features, but I sometimes feel like a lone voice in the wilderness. I feel there are many examples such as the association problem which could be quite easily fixed and make eCabs just that much slicker and quicker to use without having to pump up the hardware

Hi Nick,

We take all suggestions and look at each one. We might have more requests for a certain features or functionality than others and of course those we get the most of go towards the top of the list. There is also the time it takes to implement certain features/functionality that go into the equation as well. We also have a path that we are working towards and might not be able to implement until we get our objectives complete. For instance, we have more users wanting the software to be easier to use than to associate more than 1 item to a wall. Therefore we are working to make the software easier to use.

For the search engine, make sure that you select a forum to search in. If you don't, then it will search all forums and that might take forever.

Please don't take this posting as a bashing as I am explaining the many process' that the programmers go through to get an update released.
