Thanks, George!
George,
I used the very first one on the page for this test.
I wonder if the extra vertical lines and the distortion around the opening are artifacts that could be corrected? I would appreciate any and all input on whether this could be fixed. Thanks!

Thanks, Rick.
I now find (using the No 9 Blend) that if I make a square cut, the brick distortion is minimal around the opening. However, some of the white line artifacts remain - and I believe these might be appear where the tiles meet. I left the Tile Settings on Auto for both columns and rows.
I find the distortion around rounded Part Editor cuts the most puzzling, though - especially around curved surfaces.

The image definitely needs to be cropped so that the pattern matches side-to-side and top-to-bottom.
Also, make sure your image size is evenly divisible by 4 in both directions. If the image is say, 110x110, changing it to 108x108 will help remove the distortion in eCabinets.

I made a jpeg image in Paint Shop Pro where one of the texture choices are
'large brick' Then used a varied amount of colours to paint the bricks. Saved this file and applied it as an image to my wall. Took this to irfan view and did the gamma correction trick. No distortion - no problem. Just another way to skin a cat (or dress a wall!)

Thank you both, Rick and Dan!
The images do have a small white border on the left-hand side. PLUS the images must be rotated a fraction of a degree to get a better match - not perfect, but better.
When I use an arch for the top of the opening, I still see distortion. It must be related to some algorithm used to place the texture around the opening.
I appreciate your feedback, gents!!!

Re:
Thanks for this tip, Nick! Your wall turned out pretty good. I have PaintShop Pro 7, so will give that a try.Paul Ellis wrote:I made a jpeg image in Paint Shop Pro where one of the texture choices are 'large brick' Then used a varied amount of colours to paint the bricks. Mine was an exercise to use the images that George found, and then apply those bricks as an image, as they are available commercially.
