Dxf error

When importing dxf the control respondes with :the material for the dxf part has the incorrect thickness the thickness required is 0.0000 the dxf part will not be in the nest . when I change the material thickness to 0.0000 it respondes with 0.0000 is not a valid thickness

Check the outline layer of the dxf. It should be something like outline z0p75 for 3/4.

Hi Will,

Couple things to check:
- You want to be sure all information on the outline layer is correct
example: outline z0p75 (indicates 3/4\" thickness)
- Be sure geometry specifying outline of part is a closed chain perimeter
- Be sure there are no duplicate entities on the outline layer
- Be sure all intersections of outline geometry are trimmed (NO over hanging entities)
- Be sure your using arcs or lines to construct outline geometry (NO splines)

Hey Will

As Ryan and Joe said, check your layer names. Every time I come across that error it is because either I or the other occasional designer were rushing and just screwed up the layer names.
