Wish List

Ability to use at least 3 custom tools to make MDF doors instead of 2.

De-bug the MDF door exterior tool inward and outward offsets. They are backwards. It appears correct in ecabs and Profile Modeler but machines wrong.

Fix the radius comp button in the same interface as above. Right now when you click \"view\" in the radius comp block it just moves the bit to the top surface of the material and does not comp.

Ability to add 4 hinges to a tall door

Ability to add a downturn or lip on the front edge of a countertop.

Ability to machine the insides of drawer fronts to accomodate Blum Metabox fixing brackets (two dowel knock in or screw on for that matter). Would like to have that look like the hinge setup in hardware hole editor looks now.

Ability to have knob and pull hardware holes drilled in doors and drawer
fronts.

Have a dialog box that comes up when you save a job just like the box that opens when you save a cabinet in cabinet editor. Too many times I've over-written a job accidently because I was used to the save dialog box in the cabinet editor.

Have the ability to put a stretcher at the top front of a cabinet and have it recognized in the Shelf/Partition Editor

Ability to add subfiles to files in the directory.

Improvements to the Line Drawing Editor- improve the object snap feature and add a template with title block.

Ability to save shop drawings created in LDE as a PDF (if you have bought the software) instead of JPG

When you add display parts to a cabinet, have them automatically associated to the cabinet, and the ability to disassociate if you want.

Thanks for an awesome, FREE, software package that performs beautifully!

Hey Ben, I was just poking around, you have a great website, nice design, and it even loads relatively quickly on my dial-up connection. Nice looking shop too!

Just a note on one of your items:

If you double-click on the cabinet to select it, then the display parts will be associated automatically with the cabinet. The Cabinet/Assembly Editor is an assembly editor and can contain more than one cabinet, so there would be no way to identify which cabinet to associate to automatically.

Dennis,
I noted your suggestion about associating parts.
I have the latest version loaded, and in my case, simply double clicking on the cabinet and not selecting the part as you suggest does not save the display part with the cab. Neither does having both selected after double clicking the cab.
Finally, neither does double clicking the cab, selecting the part, and then double clicking the cab again.
What am I missing in your suggestion?

Got so busy with the idea of easy \"association\" that I forgot to add my item to the wish list:
I use a lot of display or custom parts I save as an assembly. I would really like to be able to \"labor\" these display assemblies since they often require a lot of man hours to build.
I know if i dis-assemble a cabinet and use one of the pieces in the display assembly I can save it as a cab and labor it, but that is an extra step it would be nice not to have to wrestle with every time I build an assy with display parts that needs independant laboring info. Sometimes it is not possible to add a cab part to a display assembly. When that happens, we all must remember to add a labor figure for that part to the job total or lose revenue.

Peter

Automatic association occurs when the cabinet is selected and you add a display part. If the cabinet is not selected when the part is added you have to manually associate it.
