training classes

Post by denny michels »

Was wondering how many of you took the e-cab 5 day training class at thermwood headquarters. I have been thinking about it since i don't have the time to learn all this on my own. Will i come out of it in good enough shape to design quickly or will there still be a big learning curve that only practice will cure. Any thoughts on this will be appreciated.

I took the class and can't imagine trying to learn this without doing so. I learned as much from the class as from the other particpants but it was time well spent. I would recommend every user take a class as hard as it is to set aside a week to go there. You will not regret it.

Denny, I took the class a year ago this past may, just before version 5 came out. I previously had another brand software (not mentioning any names) and had poor customer service with the company. I had the ecab software on the computer but did not take the time to figure it out. Very frustrating. I later decided that for, I think $500/$700 for the 5 day class, I am still way below the cost of any software on the market. I took the 5 day class and all of a sudden the  came on. It is a wonderful class, and the thermwood people feed you a pretty good lunch everyday. Plus you get to take a great tour of the facilities.

The software can do so many things that you are probably not even aware of, by all means take the class. you will not regret it.

Denny,

JUST DO IT!!!

Seriously, I had e-cabs about whipped when I bought a machine and went for e-cabs training, still learned a lot. I have designed and cut hundreds of kitchens and numerous other projects since and am still learning alot. I think one tends to learn what they need to get by. I would really like to get better with the part editor, but I only have learned to use it for what I need it for and the rest is for when I have time...
