Losing profile info

Post by Nick M Singer »

I have had this happen before but was not too worried about it, but now that I am actually trying to run profiles on the CS40 it is a problem. I applied a tool to the edge of a display board and a display panel in the part editor and then generated a TWD. When I load the file in the Profile Modeler module it reports that there is no profile info. Hey presto moulding gone!!

Will you send me this file with the steps as well? You can either post it here or email it to me.

Ok Guys! Worked out the solution to this problem. I did not realise that you have to save the display panel or board as an assembly first. So the procedure is then apply moulding in the Part editor take back to the cabinet editor and save as an assembly, then create the TWD and the moulding info will go through to the Profile Modeler. Now the next issue that the Thermwood team must fix is the metric issue that puts the x axis out of bounds when you actually try to machine the moulding!
