Am I missing it somewhere?

I would like, in the cabinet editor, to be able to globally set my preferences for things such as hinge placement, all the dims relating to drawer sizing and hardware hole placement, door and drawerfront margins, reveals, yadda, yadda, yadda.

For example, I do all my doors with a balanced hinge placement, 3.500 inches from top and bottom. But it seems as if I the program always opens with 4.000.

You would make these changes then save the cabinet as your seed cabinet. Then when you open that cabinet, it will start with all those new settings. You cannot change the standard seed cabinets that come loaded in the software unless you save under a new name. Hope this helps.
