I do not no how to put moldings on.I would like to put a profile edge
on the desk. Could someone help me.

Mike,

I'll bet it's that inside corner. Try separate chains. Also, try to offset your cutpath. Just a thought...

It is definitely the inside corners. I could do the ends and curves as single chains but the keyboard cutout has to be a separate chain, even using offsets.

You? Master of the Part Editor?

It is quite simple George. In Profile Edge mode, select "Single" to do one edge, "Partial" to do more than one edge or "Chain" to profile all edges.

Then you select the edge(s) to profile--one edge for Single, beginning and ending points for Partial or any edge for Chain.

Once you have the edge(s) selected click the next button and choose your tool. Set the plunge depth (this must be a negative number) and any left or right compensation (off center). The yellow portion is the cutting side and blue is "air".

Once you have the plunge and offset like you want, click the OK button and your done.

Kerry once gave a great explanation of how it works. He said to think of the tool as a scraper and not a rotating router bit. That analogy helped me tremendously.

Sometimes you have to select the opposite edge than what you actually want profiled then use an offset equal to the width of the part to get it to work just right. This is especially true when doing curves that intersect with straight edges. I'm not sure if this would work with your situation or not--I'll give it a try and see.

That won't work either George...it gives the same message about \"internal algorithmic error\" or something like that.

Here is something that DOES work.

Change the square inside corners to a 2\" radius curve and you can do a Partial profile.

I just came in from the shop I had to say Hi
I worked out on the street today I get to make everything on the stairs I like stairs.
We have to finish all the trim this weekend his rug is coming Mon

I get to build the kitchen any kind of kitchen cabinets I want

It is like Christmas right now my external hard drive just came to the door and Dan made my top for me.

You LIKE stairs? I'll have to get you to lay out some for me. I want to put stairs up a hillside behind the house but I can't get the rise and run to work out right.

It will do Raffters<Stairs and Circles.
It's good software that anyone could use at one time or another.
Dan I have a big program that does just stairs. So let me know if the free one if not I can make one up
Mike are you looking for the file for the desk like the I on top of the page.
Here is a stair case I did at my son's house they were in the back of the house.I moved them to the front of the house.I made everything.

I know how (and have a program) to calculate rise and run, but the problem I have is the slope.

It is about 15 feet high (rise) and only about 25 feet deep (run). I think I will have to break it up into two sections with a small landing half-way up.
