Glass shelves? Did something change?

Post by Joe Dusel »

I have been doing glass shelves the old fashioned way by placing a glass in the cabinet editor and then changing the texture of the object (usually a display panel) that I want to look like glass. Very clunky.

So tonight I'm fooling around and I noticed that I can make the shelves transparent, save the cabinet in that state and they now stay transparent when placed in a room. When did this happen?

I also noticed that if you then try to edit the cabinet with the \"glass shelves\" they revert to being non-transparent.

I want to add this to my wish list for the \"glass shelves\". It looks like this could be an easy one, just make anything that is made transparent stay transparent unless you select the part to make it non-transparent.

Maybe develop a sheet goods that you can use for glass shelves, that route would probably work better.
