Sample kitchen?

Post by Stefan Vervloet »

I’ve been busy learning eCabinets. It’s getting better all the time!
A great help would be to be able to look at someone’s finished project.
Is it possible to download a kitchen somewhere in eCabinets that has a lot of bells and whistles? Something I could take apart, try to understand, learn from. I’m looking for all those things that are needed besides the basic cabinets and countertops. Panels, islands, slide-outs, pantries, corbels, custom moldings, all those details that make a presentation look professional. Any design will do, I’m not asking anyone to design me a custom new kitchen, just an old project from one of you profesionals. I would consider paying for such a design I can learn from.

Any resources out there?

Stefan
btw, great new look! (but the smilies don't work for me :( Yes, they are "ON")

Hi Stefan,
I got a bunch your welcome to. I typically dont finish my drawings with such things as corbels, fluted details and such, usually dont even put the crown on them. I have a showroom and hundreds of pictures of completed projects to convey the look to my customers. I usually get enough detail for the customer to see the layout and enough for my machining. If I outsource it, I try not to let my customer get to hung up on seeing it in the drawing, saves me time on drawings. I try not to even show specific stain or tint laq. colors as I have samples they can actually see and touch. I do appreciate some of the other work I see the guys doing with presentations, I just dont seem to need to do it to get the work, so I dont..You are welcome to anything I have though if you feel it would help.

Mike,

Thanks for the offer! I agree that the less you show the client on paper, the better. I also find myself making a great presentation and then being stuck having to build it :) Better to stick to those things in the showroom you have build before. But unfortunately, I don't have the big showroom yet. And showing people pictures in magazines really lenghtens their wish-lists of new projects. eCabinet presentations it is for now.
So Yes, I am intersted in any designs I can download and study. I do hope to get an offer from someone who does have the bells and wistles :)

Let me know how I can get them.

You might take a look at Kerry Fullington's website. He has some great presentations on it that will give you some ideas.

Yes, those presentations are great. For now it's my dream to be able to do all this in eCabinet systems myself one day. Are there any similar designs available for download anywhere so I can study them?

Thanks for the help.

Stefan,

HERE is a link to THIS JOB and THIS JOB

These are the files that I use to do presentations for the customers, not the ones I build off of so there could be some fudging here and there to make things look good but they will show you some of the bells and whistles as well as lighting placement.
