Auto Save
I did a search of this forum and I couldn't find any reference to a 'Auto Save' feature in the program. Is this correct? That there isn't any option to allow for a automactic save of your job/cabinet? Nothing more furstrating than when you are lost deep in thought about the kitchen your designing and have hours of work lost because you haven't been saving your work in a timely manner.

Re: Auto Save
I think we need to add that to the wish list.

Re: Auto Save
I would like this too, I would much rather seeing a pop-up asking to save
than the dreaded "program must shut down"
pop-up.

Re: Auto Save
ctrl S all day long, I have learned to hit ctrl s after adding each cabinet because, I have lost several project after spending 5 to six hours of head scratching and frustration.
I would vote YES for that feature.

Re: Auto Save
Crtl S only works after you are done or in the cabinet editor. It doesn't work in Detail Room, if we can get it to work in Detail Room that would be great. As of now ctrl S brings up the right click menu.

Re: Auto Save
Lamar, you are correct, but if your in detail room, click the done button and click ctrl-s and go back. It only takes a couple of seconds to go back and forth. Although still alot faster than rebuilding the entire job.

After you have to recreate eight or ten hours work enough times, you'll remember.Lamar Horton wrote:Yea, but who's gonna remind me to do it?

I vote in favor of auto save too. Maybe a poll with two answers--yes and no?

Re: Auto Save
Definately got my vote for Auto Save. When I'm training new staff I set up a reminder in Microsoft outlook to pop up every 10-15 minutes saying "If eCabinets is Open, click Save" It works well, the new staff members soon get sick of it popping up and remember to do it themselves.
