Hi, I just switched to a new 20" wide flatscreen monitor and eCabs is freezing up when I try to take a room into the presentation area.
Last night the same problem also happened when I was in the door selection area and after selecting a door I wanted to look at it with the "Full View" option.
When I added the new monitor I changed my display properties "Screen resolution to 1600x1200" I beleive I had 1024 x 768
My Display is described as a "plug and Play Monitor on VIA/S3G UniChrome IGP.

Hi bertfonde, eCabs recommends 1024 x 768 screen resolution. However, you could try moving your hardware acceleration to none. Right click on your desktop, click Properties > Settings > Advanced > Troubleshoot then slide the slider bar to None, or just move it a little at a time and see if it comes right for you.
Hope this helps,
Paul.

Thanks, I set it None and brought up my most complex room. Any tricks to speed up the display of knobs and Handles, it seems to come to a crawl on those items, and speeds back up once they are drawn.

Bert,
You can right-click and show/hide all of your pulls, appliances, ect. Not really speeding it up, just hiding them until you are ready to render.

Knobs and handles are fairly graphics intensive. you may like to have a look at this post from Dan Epps regarding virtual memory settings. http://www.thermwood.com/forums/viewtop ... ual+memory

Re: Software Freezinf
Something to consider: the video card you listed (VIA/S3G UniChrome IGP) is an integrated graphics processor...not recommended for eCabinets due to slow processing and having no onboard memory (uses system memory thus taking memory away from programs).
