I have a long wall and want to dimension it in the LDE. The problem is, I would like to rotate the drawing on the paper so it would be more visible. When I try to rotate it, it rotates on axis X and Z, but not Y. Any ideas?

First, make sure you have the wall or room mode buttons selected.
Next, left click the wall (it should highlight green)
Now you can use the shift-left click orbit command to rotate the room.
This dialog does not seem to be accurate. Using the x rotate limits you to 90 degrees even if you go to 360. But for now I would use the orbit routine to position the room the way you want to. I will report this to our programmers.

That allowed me to rotate the room, but I can only get a top view of the cabinets. I'm trying for the front elevation.

go into the layout editor and load the desired layout.Lee Gernandt wrote:That allowed me to rotate the room, but I can only get a top view of the cabinets. I'm trying for the front elevation.
select detail room
hover over the wall that has the cabinets you would like to dimension. The wall should highlight yellow.
right-click and select show wall elevation.
click on the LDE button and take wall.
you should now see the room elevation in the LDE.
Hopefully this helps!

That part works fine. Its once I get it there, I want to rotate the elevation so it fits on the paper the oppisite way that it is. I didn't know if that's doable or not. I just thought it would be nice since the room was wall was longer, to have the elevation running the long way on the paper.

You can change your page oreintation from landscape to portrait or vise versa.
Within the LDE...
Goto the File pull down menu and select print setup.
Change your page orientation to landscape.

Re: line drawing editor
That worked just fine. Once again, operator error on this end. Thanks, Lee.
