beginner cabinet editor question

Post by matt omeara »

How do you go about modifying door / drawer front heights after you've created your cabinet? I'm used to SOLID where I could just click on the door/df and modify the height value and all the other doors would change value according to whether their height value was locked or unlocked.

You asked, "How do you go about modifying door / drawer front heights after you've created your cabinet?"

That is tough to answer, without first suggesting that you read all about it in eCabinets Made Easy. Have you done that?

The short answer is that doors and drawerfront heights relate to the heights of the openings to which they are associated in the cabinet, plus or minus the reveals or overlays you have specified in the door/drawerfront construction settings dialog box.

Select/highlight a door when in the door/drawerfront editor, and open the dialog box for construction settings. Reset the bottom reveal or overlay to something else, then click OK to close the box.

Watch what happens.

Then keep playing around with this until it becomes clear what goes on.

Sometimes it seems to me that the software acts up on me and yields unexpected results. If so, I just delete the door or drawerfront, and start over.
