Please consider changing the buy list to itemize doors and drawerfronts by placing their heights and widths in separate cells, and having linkage to a job's global setting for "dimension display" affect the way the buy list is written, when doing its dimension calls.
I know that one can export to Excel and then use Excel to "massage" the list (read text string, interpret, operate, export to cell, blah, blah, blah), but users are better served by having control of the list and the way it prints, before it is printed.
As for additional inclusions to the buy list, I want the ability to specify my drawerboxes as "purchased" and to show up on the buy list, just as I can do with doors and drawerfronts.
If we get d'boxes included in the buy list, I want the description to call out the thickness of sides, thickness of bottom, and bottom inset (if any) for the d'box called out.
By way of information, as regards metric versus imperial dimensions, all or most of the suppliers of doors, drawerfronts, and drawerboxes, have the (not realized by them, maybe) better offer of size accuracy by guaranteeing dim's to +/- 1mm if ordered metric, versus +/- 1/16" if ordered in fractional inches. My preference for ordering is to use mm when ordering doors, drawerfronts, and d'boxes. When offered the choice of accuracy to within 0.063", and accuracy to within 0.039", this old engineer will go for the tighter spec every time.
