Rafix and KD/RTA Fastner in Global Setting change

Hi Everyone,
I was trying to change the Pin Depth for the Rafix connector. But i am having trouble getting it to be perminate. I was able to change the depth in the hardware hole editor. I would try and go to Global Settings/ Cabinet part Construction/KD/RTA Fastner but it would default to the old settings. Is it possible to change this? I did look thru the forum to get me to this point but i am still having some trouble. I was hoping someone would be able to guide me in the right direction.

This is what i did to change the rafix Pin depth (please correct me if i did something wrong)
1. Hardware Hole editor
2. Open
3. Patterns Folder
4. kd-rta_HF-26310705
5. Changed my Pattern Depth on the pin hole to new size in need
6.Save
7. I then Associated Hardware
8. KD Hardware
9. Hafele
10. Rafix Houseing
11.HF-26310705
12. Associate a hole pattern
13. Yes
14. Select a hole Pattern
15. (under patterns) kd-rta_HF-26310705
16. ok.

Then i would go the Global settings/ Cabinet Part Construction and select KD/RTA Fastner
It would not change to the new depth of the pin
I then went back to the Patterns and KD-rta_HF-26310705 and the part is correct to the new changes i made

I was not sure why it went back to the original setting when the pattern is changed to a new size

Any help would be greatly appreicated!

Send me that cabinet and the hole pattern. I will try and make the changes here.

Hi Dave,
When you have your cabinet in the Cabinet/Assembly editor you may need to go into Default + Item then go to cabinet defaults Then edit the current KD/RTA and re select the one you have just changed and set as default. Just a though, not 100% sure that it will work but worth a try

Thanks for the help! Everything works good. The only thing i notice, if i close out e-cabinets it will not save the setting in the Global Settings/ Cabinet Part Construction/ KD/RTA Fastner. Not really a big deal, I can just edit each new cabinet i do

Hi Dave,
Thats correct, you will have to make this change to each individual cabinet that needs the change made to it, making sure you save each cabinet of course. Im glad you got it figured out
