Newbie here - Drawing editor

Post by David Bouchette »

Greetings,
As a former Cabinet Vision user... I am finding my share of frustration trying to learn something new. Never the less I appreciate the forum very much. It's very helpful. I am trying to place a cabinet in the drawing editor, and its placed on the page too big. I can't seem to get it to reduce its size. :wall:
Thanks, David

David, you should be able to use the "+ or -" on your keyboard or you can hold down "shift" and "Both mouse buttons", and drag it in and out.

Make sure you have the "Cab" icon selected and click on the cabinet. It will turn green when selected. Now hold both mouse buttons down and move the mouse forward to shrink the cabinet or backward to enlarge it.

OK... the shift, both mouse buttons does the trick... but the + - thing make the whole page change with the cabinet... is that what it's suppose to do?
You have helped me, and I appreciate it.
Thanks

Yep, + and - zooms the page while both mouse buttons zooms the selected object. You can move the selected object using shift-left mouse button.

You can also change the page orientation to landscape if needed. Just go to File -> Print Setup and select Landscape for the orientation.

Sorry...shift-left button rotates the selected object while shift-right button moves it.
