We are trying to cut out a 48" dia. table top out of 1 1/8 material. We are sending this to the machine as a DXF file when loading and selecting my material I get an error that says"The material selected for the Dxf part D:\ -part name- has the incorrect thickness the required thickness required is 0.0000. The dxf will not be in the nest" I've tried everything even making a new dxf template, if I change that circle to a square it nests perfectly.
When I break the circle into arcs I get the error " A common close point was not found for an outline operation" if I remember right all outlines have to be a closed entity.
Control Nesting(CN) needs an endpoint to start from.
Terry,
Yes, all outlines need to be close entities. A square is a closed entity and has 8 endpoints (startpoints) for CN to start from. The circle you are using has zero endpoints. Like David said, break the circle into 2 pieces, and you should be fine. If you need further assistance with your dxf file. Post it, and I will take a look at it.
Note: Make sure you are running the latest version of control nesting. We are up to Version 5.38
