Edgebanding go away

Why is it that to create a slab door you have to enter an edgebanding? When creating a slab mdf door to be painted is there a way to not enter an edgebanding I tryed creating a paint edgebanding with a 0 thickness yet if you take a door to the part editor and say create a fingerpull detail when you bring it back to main the edgebanding is still there. So to my clients their seeing a detail that still has edgebanding around the out side edge that you would think would be gone due to the cut ? any way around this, that and it shows up in the LDE.Mark

Create an MDF door with your slab material and don't enter any profile cuts.

Kerry, I guess that's my problem because the job that I'm detailing right now calls for a scooped finger pull like the one attached. So without trying are you saying that if I use an MDF door I can't take it to the part editor and create an edge detail? Thank's, Mark.

Mark,

You can place edge profiles right in the Door Editor on MDF Doors but you can't take it to the part editor.

This work around probably isn't going to do what you want.

I agree that it would be nice to be able to turn off edgebanding on Slab Doors.
