Can't erase filled arc

I positioned a filled arc on a top rail and then cut it out and then realized it was in the wrong place. Now I cannot erase the filled arc so I can start over, nothing happenes when I highlight the filled arc after choosing the delete geometry cut. It is a long top rail and I have numerous other cuts in it so I don't want to just delete top rail and start over. Can anyone give me a pointer?

Ron, I'm not ceratin what you are refering to when you say a "filled arc". You can remove all part editor cuts from any part by selecting the part, right click, select remove part editor cuts>selected part. This will remove all of the PE cuts.

But how can I erase a cut in part editor so I don't lose all the other cuts?

All cuts in the Part Editor are removed in reverse order from what they were made. If this is not the last cut you made you will have to remove cuts in order until you reach this cut.

What I would do is take the part into Contour Mode of the Part Editor, right-click and select Create Edges then save the geometry as a X_T file.

Now go back to the Cabinet Editor and remove the cuts from the selected part as Pete suggested. With the cuts gone, take it back into Contour Mode and open the X_T file you just saved.

Now you can change the particular cut and make the cuts again.

That would have been my next suggestion. A very handy tool anytime you are making P.E. cuts that may have to be modified later.

Heh, heh, heh...

I always save my geometry in Contour Mode. I seem to have to redo the cuts a lot for some reason??? As someone else said, I think I have a PICNIC problem (problem in chair, not in computer).

I save mine as well. It's just amazing how many times you can bail yourself out of the fire with this simple tool.

Yep...it only takes losing several hours of work a few times until this becomes second nature. It also makes creating a similar design go much faster when you have something to start with.
