It would be a great advantage to me to have the capability to create measurement nodes on my line drawings to show centers, sink, windows,wall sconces ect. can this be done? Mark.

I'm not aware of any way of doing this Mark. Someone that uses the LDE a lot more than I might have a different answer.

Not sure if this is what you are looking for but you can push and hold 'M'....
I don't use the line drawing editor dimensioning but i'm sure someone else here will have a trick up there sleeve if it can be done

Can you insert a "Snap Marker"in detail room under insert item?

I thought the same thing but you still can't dimension to a snap marker in the Line Drawing Editor.

This concept works for a window cutout and there may be a way to incorporate it with other features.

When a rectangle is cutout of a wall for a window opening, draw another smaller (very small) rectangle at the top or bottom mid-point of the rectangle. Rotate the small rectangle 90 degrees so that the corners point north/south or up/down. Cutout both rectangles.

When you take the elevation view to the LDE, the small rectangle will provide the nodes you're looking for for dimensioning. The visibility of a very small rectangle is negligible and is covered by window/door trim. Using the same concept, I wouldn't know why you couldn't draw these points at the top or bottom of the wall in the elevation view.
