Another painted Bookcase
It seems everyone wants painted cabinets lately. I'll bet this is my 6th in a row. I am so ready to do some staining. I'll be getting my chance on the next job, a full house full of cherry cabinets. Yea

Re: Another painted Bookcase
Looks good Lamar!
Just a quick question in regards to fixing the unit back to the wall. How do you go about this? I notice in the photo that there appears to be no screw heads exposed from fixing the unit back to the wall. Obviously you don't want exposed screw heads showing, but was wondering what approach you take.
Cheers

Re: Another painted Bookcase
On this unit the bookcase is the wall. This is located in an upstairs room and there is attic space behind the case. There are studs in between the different sections. We removed the drywall of the old wall and repositioned the studs to allow the case to slide into the wall.
As far as the screws go. We attached it to the studs through the sides of the case and painted over the screw heads. On stained units we counter sink the head a tiny bit then putty the hole.
