Placing assemblies in Custom Layout
I couldn't get cabinets to align properly in Custom Layout, so I created a large assembly of all my base cabinets in Cabinet/Assembly Editor, so that I could precisely align the cabinets and add display boards and moldings where needed. That worked great. However, now I am having problems taking that assembly and placing it into Custom Layout. The wireframe that it shows for the assembly is larger than the actual assembly. So, if the wireframe is aligned with the walls, once I place the assembly it is actually some distance away from the wall. And it won't allow me to move it closer. Any ideas what might be causing this?

After you place the assembly in the room click on it and then hover the mouse over the wall and see how far away from the wall the assembly is. Change the placement options place mode to freestyle. then change the move increment "objects" to the distance and move the assemble with the arrow keys. hope that helps

Thank you but, where does it say how far away from the wall the assembly actually is? I see all kinds of information about the wall, but nothing that says anything about the assembly. I highlighted the assembly, as you suggested, and held the mouse over the wall. It will not let me move the assembly closer to the wall no matter what I try.

Hey Mark, make sure the assembly is not touching any walls and is hilited, then you will see a red line between the wall and assembly and a dimension associated to that line.
