Since my upgrade to 5.2 the processing of changes seem to be a bit slower. If I change a draw front size the software goes through the process of generating drawer box etc and takes anywhere from ten seconds to 4 minutes based on what computer I am using. Seems that it has become more processor dependent that it was before. Has anyone else noticed this.

Re: things seem a bit slower
I am having the opposite effect. Things seem faster to me. The only time I am having speed problems is when I transfer things from the cab editor to the room editor. But that hasn't changed from the last version.

Re: things seem a bit slower
Greg,
I think the problem is most likely how much RAM you have on your computers and maybe the Operating System. XP can eat up 1 Gig of memory and eCabinets can use 2G. If you are running Vista, it can eat up 2 Gig. I wouldn't try to run eCabinets with less than 3 Gig of Ram. Of course your graphics card memory can play a part in this also.
Check if the slower machines have less RAM.

Re: things seem a bit slower
I have also noticed that memory management seems to be much better.
My page files seems smaller most times.

Re: things seem a bit slower
This is what I am seeing. I build a 3 draw cabinet with Conestoga CRP-10 drawer fronts. If I do not include the drawer box it works great. Very fast. When I include Dovetail drawer boxes it takes about 2 mins to make any changes and the processing Drawer box dialog comes up. Then when I batch or place in a room and try to nest for my cut list it will either take about 5 mins to process or it locks up.
Everything works great until I add the drawer boxes. It might be the dovetails. Im going to try to do a box without dovetails and see how it works

Greg,
Drawer boxes take more memory, and dovetails take even more memory.
