GLITCH IN FACEFRAME EDITOR

Post by Al dedenus »

When I'm in the face frame editor and delete the bottom rail the whole faceframe gets moved upwards on the cabinet by the width of the bottom rail .When I go back to the cabinet editor.I then have to re-align the faceframe with the cabinet.Anyone else having this problem? :?:

Al,
My recollection is, this a normal re-shuffling of parts after removal of one. This will occur in other situations when removing parts from the cabinet as well.

While in the face frame editor (click the face frame icon), go to the icon for Construction Settings. There you will see on page one, input boxes for entering inset increments for all the face frame parts individually. Enter an inset amount to adjust the length of the face frame stile (left or right) that you want to adjust. The number can be either a positive or negative number depending on which direction you want the resizing to occur. This feature is one you will use a lot if you do custom cabinet work and is very handy. This is also the location where you can set the amount of extra scribe material to add to the outside of face frame stile for scribing along an uneven wall.
