How do you change material on a display panel that has been saved. I have a display panel that has parts editor cuts on grained material and now I would like to use the same part, but with a non grained material. I know I can uncheck the grain on that particular sheet good, but I want to change the material so that it will nest with the rest of the parts.

Damon, bring the panel into the CE then another with the texture you want and do a texture match.

To change the actual material of a Display Panel you will have to create a new panel using the new material and the panel will have the grain characteristics of the new material.

Take your original part to the part editor/contour and create edges and save the geometry of the cuts, then you can place that new geometry on the new material to make the cuts again.

You might find it easier to create several parts from several materials all at one time and save them in a file for use.

Thanks for the info, Gentleman. I created a new part and saved it again. I didn't think to save the geometry and copy it to the new part. I did it the hard way.
