Re: Labor cost on an assembly
Gary,
I am pretty sure you need to have at least one cabinet loaded in the Cabinet editor to apply Labor costs to a display panel. Then you can go into construction settings and remove all of the parts for the cabinet by unchecking the "Has part" boxes. Then try to add the labor costs to the display panel. There may be an easier way, but this worked for me.

Re: Labor cost on an assembly
Todd,
I'm not really sure I understand what to do. I went to -the cabinet editor with my mantel in it and loaded a cabinet it would let me then apply labor cost, but when I deleted the cabinet I could no longer get labor to come up. Please explain one more time.

After loading the cabinet (Standard Base Frameless),
double click the cabinet to select, then click the "contruction settings" icon.
Next goto the each of the part tabs and remove the parts.
Example:
Top Tab - for type Select None
Toe Kick - uncheck "has toe"
Back - uncheck "Has Back"
Left end - uncheck "Has left end"
Right End - uncheck "Has right end"
deck - uncheck "has deck"
finally select ok.
The cabinet will be gone but you will now be able to apply the labor costs to the display parts

Re: Labor cost on an assembly
Make sure that it is set for "Use Labor Based Cost Calculations" in the Settings and Preferences screen.
I repeated what Todd had initially indicated and the labor costs were reflected in the cost lists.
Actually, I may have applied the costs to the cabinet, then removed all the cabinet parts.
