HOW DO I MAKE A FLUTED POST

HOW DO I MAKE A FLUTED POST
So I made a tool and can flute one half of the post but can't get it to go on the other half.In essence I want a round post.Also I need one with a notch cut out of the back to wrap around a cabinet.Can someone give me a step by step,I've spent hours on this and am about ready to give up

The attached zip file has several JPGs in it that show how to make a fluted round post. The key is to start with a display cube that is dimensioned so that you are looking at it from the end rather than the side. From there, look at the images in order of the numbers (file names).
