New Hard drive

Post by Thom Davies »

Hey How's it going?

Our compter guy here told me that the hard drive on the controller is near it's total space. Can we transfer the whole hard drive to a newer 1 with out any hassels. Cos i know that the super control is not allowed to be put on other comperters. so will this cause a prob?

Thanks

Thom, mirror the drive, it should work.

Thom, which drive is nearly full, C or D? I would assume it's C. If that's the case you can use a 3rd party software and open up that partition so it has more room. The drawback of doing this is that if you ever order a new harddrive through Thermwood it will have the original partition sizes. You can also talk with Dan Lopez in our retrofit department. They can retrofit your machine with a newer, larger drive. If you go this way, any harddrive you order through Thermwood will have the larger partitions.
