That ceiling is just the beams for the coffers. The way the lighting reflects makes the open space between the beams dark and looks like a ceiling.
I have done ceilings using display panels but they cause a lot of problems with lighting.
Kerry, in the Alver kitchen , how did you show the doors open at different angles, and drawers open ? Ive seen that in another post, too, but I cant figure out how to do it.
In cabinet editor if I highlite/select a door and then try to rotate, the entire cabinet rotates.... this is another feature that really "punches up" the presentation.
Joe, you will have to manually bring the door in rather than using the door editor. This way you can rotate the door to any angle you need. Same with the drawers.
I take the cabinet to the cabinet editor and look at the size of the doors, then remove the doors in the door editor. Then select that same door and size in the Place Items Menu under Doors/Drawers and place them manually. They will still show up in your cut list or buy list.
For the drawers use a negative inset for the drawer front equal to the distance you want the drawer open, say 20", then add that same distance to your minimum back inset setting on the drawer box. This keeps the drawer the correct size.
Thank you, Damon, George, and Kerry. It makes sense now. I will try all that and holler if I get stuck.
eCab is worth it, just for the Forum support.
